Term Three Test (end of term 3)
This test is designed to give parents and students a good idea how the student is progressing. Scores will be included on the students Term 4 Report. Levels are approximate to years of study but students can choose a lower level if appropriate. Each student will receive a copy of what they will be tested on and the scoring system early in term 3 so classes have lots of time to prepare. Guitar Level one Fret placement - Place your finger on the correct frets on the the right strings 5 points Chord knowledge - Play 7 chords from the chord sheet 7 points Tuning- Tune at least 2 strings on an out of tune guitar with a tuner. 2 points Bonus point- Place a capo correctly on a guitars neck 1 point Students total point score ___ out of 14 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Level two Fret Placement - Place your finger on the correct frets on the right strings (time limit) - 5 points Chord knowledge - Play all highlighted chords from the chord sheet -13 points Strumming - copy teachers 3 different strum patterns - 3 points Bonus point - pull of a pick slide - 1 point Students total point score ___ out of 20 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Level 3 (3+ years) Play at least 3 bar chords - 3 points Finger pick chords or part of a song - 5 points Strumming - copy strum styles - 3 points Scale knowledge - Play at least one scale -5 points Bonus points- play a basic solo using a scale of your choice - 6 points Students total points score ___ out of 22 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
