+This form is for Stanley Bay School students wanting to enrol in the Rock Band programme.
Want to be in a Rock Band or Pop Band?
You don’t have to have any prior experience in a band, you just need to be able to play an instrument. These band lessons are ideally suited to guitarists, bass players, piano/keyboard players, ukulele players, Sax, percussionists drummers and singers.
Everyone from beginners to the very experienced are welcome to join.
Bands will be limited to 5-8 people per band and run by band coach Heath Watson.
Students will have a chance to work together as a group and get a good introduction to playing in and being part of a rock or pop band. There will be performance opportunities along the way.
All bands will have a 50+ minute tuition and practice per week, 15-20 mins to work on individual parts (as required) and 30mins for band practice.
Students are expected to be committed, come to lessons every week and will also need to practice their parts at home and also with their instrument lesson teachers if they have one.
We can take a maximum of 8 students per band. This is taken on a first in first serve basis, any students who are not initially placed will be on a wait list for the next available lesson slot.
Please note that bands will be made on ability and instrumentation and students maybe moved between bands when needed.
Lessons are $27 plus GST per lesson (50min).
Lesson payments will be invoiced directly to parents by Heath Watson not by Stanley Bay School.
The year is divided up in to two semesters -terms 1 & 2/ terms 3 & 4.
Invoices will be sent out at the beginning of semester one and two. Full payment for each semester will be expected within 4 weeks from the start of the semester unless other wise arranged.
In case of another covid-19 lockdown, lessons will continue on-line.
