Welcome! If you are a new or returning Guitar, Bass, Drum & Ukulele student please complete this form to secure a place in classes. Click Here for: Belmont Intermediate School Venue Sign Up Form About music lessons with Heath Watson Lessons are every week, they are half an hour long, have 4-5 people in the group and are $27 (ex GST) per lesson. Primary, Intermediate and Secondary students are welcome. If your are a Takapuna Grammar student a 3.30pm time/year 9+ group will be available, let me know on the sign up form please. Group Jam Days There are 2 jam days with other instrument groups over the year. Drum, Bass Ukulele & Guitar groups choose songs to rehearse during the term and then perform them live together. Students will use a provided worksheets/workbook but are also encouraged to suggest thier favourite music or songs so we can learn them in class. Students can also take part. in skill level tests (optional) Reports are handed out term 3. Guitar students will receive a workbook ($35) and other students will need their own Uke, bass or drum sticks and and a clear file for music handed out in class. Guitarists will also need a capo and tuner to get the most out of class lessons and practice at home. Capo's make it easy to change keys and learn your favourite songs fast, using the chords you already know. Tuners keep you in tune with your self and the songs you are working on -Both very important especially if you are a beginner! (Korg Pitchclip tuner and batt $30, B-bird capo $21 Can be ordered in class) The year is divided up in to two semesters -terms 1 & 2/ terms 3 & 4. Invoices will be sent out at the beginning of semester one and two. Full payment for each semester will be expected within 4 weeks from the start of the semester unless other wise arranged. In case of another covid-19 lockdown, lessons will continue on-line. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ukulele students please use the guitar form and state UKE next to your name. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Online Lesson Support In-class lessons are also backed up with on-line content via: heathwatsonguitar.com & Youtube. Students have access to over 140 custom made instructional videos covering everything from 'how to tune and instrument', maintaining and fixing your gear to students live performances-check it out. Things you could be part of at Belmont Int: BIS has got Talent, BIS battle of the bands, Jam Days with other students, Parents Performance night, Orchestra, Starting your own band with friends, songwriting/performance recording workshop, Rock shop Band-quest (Belmont came second last year), Assembly performance. |
