-Always make sure your instrument is tuned up just before you play
-Try and warm up before you practice
-Do work on scales and drumstick exercises often
-Get a metronome its great for timing
-Find some people to play with be it a duo or a band
-Be super nice to everyone who you meet, you don't know what the may teach you
-Be kind to yourself and remember every day will not be an 'ON' day but the more you practice the less of these you will have. Maybe try something new, if it continues see your friendly local guitar/bass/drum teacher.
